Our story

Our winery has been family-owned for over 300 years – a tradition that continues to shape every vine and every wine. Generation after generation, people with passion, experience, and deep respect for our vineyards have shaped and developed the estate.

Each era brought new ideas and valuable knowledge. Over time, this has resulted in a winery that preserves its historical roots while boldly forging new paths. Tradition and innovation are inextricably linked for us.

We carry on the legacy of our ancestors with deep gratitude – and with the ambition to continuously improve our quality. Our wines tell this story: authentic, full of character, and shaped by the unique terroir of our vineyards.

Johannes König

The earliest mention of our winery dates back to 1705 , when a delivery of our Pinot Noir to the Bishop of Mainz was documented. This document is the first reliable evidence of the König family's winemaking and marks the beginning of our long winery history.
